Painful Experience | A review about Liberty SIPP
I transferred all of my work pensions in the Liberty SIPP after advice from my Financial Advisor. (F.A.)
All seemed well and good until I started to find the investments that I had previously discussed with my F.A. of which Liberty advised they no longer take on purchase of land. After a long drawn out email battle, Liberty advised they would now look at the purchase on a case by case basis.
The purchase started of which I incurred costs to my SIPP from the Surveyors and Solicitors however a pot of dragging feet resulted in someone else outbidding me.
Following the non-purchase, I moved onto the next proposed purchase, where after around 6 weeks it has finally moved to the solicitor stage.
Do not expect a purchase to be completed within a month as based on current form I am expecting 3+ months for my SIPP to actually do what it should be doing within 6 weeks.
