Using a notice account, you will generally see an increased rate of interest compared to instant access accounts.

Accounts are available to suit a range of needs, and generally require notice of between one and six months, with the interest rate rising the longer the notice period.

With some accounts your money can still be withdrawn without notice but this can result in a penalty in the form of lost interest. Always check the terms and conditions of the account to confirm exactly when you can withdraw your savings and what the penalty might be.
